High fluidity of concrete
A significant increase in the fluidity of the mix makes placing and pumping easier, including in densely reinforced elements.
Products / Superplasticisers
Introduction
High-range water-reducing admixtures, also known as superplasticisers, are chemical admixtures used in concrete production. Their main purpose is to increase the fluidity of the mix, making it easier to place and pump. Their mechanism of action is based on dispersion (spreading out the cement particles) and a steric effect (creating a barrier around the particles that prevents them from coming together).
Benefits
A significant increase in the fluidity of the mix makes placing and pumping easier, including in densely reinforced elements.
Significant water reduction makes it possible to achieve a low W/C and higher concrete strength.
Better workability and pumpability streamline the production and placement of concrete.
Higher watertightness, frost resistance and resistance to corrosion and sulphate attack.
