Products / Set-retarding admixtures
Introduction
These are chemical additives introduced into the concrete mix that delay the onset of the setting process. They are used during long-distance concrete transport, when concreting in hot climates, and in large concreting works where more time is needed to place and finish the material. The setting delay can range from a few to several hours, and slower setting promotes better quality of the final product.
Benefits
Longer retention of consistency — more time for transport and placement.
A positive effect on strength, including higher long-term strength.
